(CelebrityAccess) – Music database and marketplace Discogs has launched a new inventory platform for professional record sellers, Called NearMint, the company announced Tuesday (Aug. 6).
NearMint currently offers direct integration to Discogs and allows sellers to create new listings either one by one or in bulk using advanced file upload and auto-matching functionality. The platform offers a range of features, including separate logins for employees, change logs per item, comment templates, a dashboard providing reports on inventory, the option of adding quantity and tags and changing prices per item or in bulk.
Commenting on the platform, NearMint creator and managing director Daniel Spijker said: “For years I ran a small business on Discogs as a side hustle, always looking for better ways to minimize the mundane data processes to focus my time on finding better collections to buy and grow the business. I had been looking for a tech solution for a long time, but never found something and eventually started working on my own, which turned into NearMint.”
To create the platform, Discogs interviewed over a hundred sellers and invited several to join the NearMint beta program, which already manages over 1.9 million inventory items. The company is expected to roll out the platform to more sellers worldwide shortly.
