Cardillo got a lot of attention by outperforming the rest of her school at what would normally be an average Christmas performance in New Jersey. Instead, by her extreme intensity, she took a song into the stratosphere. It caught the attention of YouTube star JoJo Siwa, a young dancer who has won over a generation with her appearance in “Dance Moms” and the subsequent song “Boomerang” that has received nearly 430 million views on YouTube.
One must understand that a revenue stream for Siwa is her bows, one of which is prominent in Cardillo’s performance. It’s a kid thing; go with it.
