MADRID (CelebrityAccess) – Download Festival Madrid 2020 has been canceled.
The news was confirmed in a statement issued on the festival’s official Facebook page on Tuesday (Oct. 15). According to festival promoters, the event was canceled due to a failure “to meet all the necessary conditions that a festival of these characteristics requires”.
Previously confirmed acts scheduled to perform at Download Madrid 2020 include Scorpions, Slipnot, Tool, Sum 41, Papa Roach and more.

We would have liked this announcement to be the announcement of the fourth edition of Download Festival Madrid.
However, by failing to meet all the necessary conditions that a festival of these characteristics requires for us, we have chosen to take a period in which our desire is to rethink it and seek a new path. For this reason, we inform that Download Festival Madrid will not be held in 2020.
During this time, we will value different paths in order to offer the best possible experience, which is what the 250,000 metal and rock fans who have already gone through Download deserve in the three editions that have been held in Caja Mágica.
In these three years, Download Festival Madrid has positioned itself on the route of the main festivals of our country with memorable performances such as those of Guns N `Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Avenged Sevenfold, Marilyn Manson, the return of Tool after 13 years without stepping on the capital, the return of Slipknot, System Of A Down, Scorpions, Judas Priest or, possibly the action that we will remember with more affection, that of Linkin Park, one of the last in the trajectory of the band led by Chester Bennington.
The team that has made each of these three editions possible is already working on the new future of Download Festival Madrid.
