(CelebrityAccess) — Latin recording artist Becky G has been announced as the host for this year’s live MTV European Music Awards broadcast.
Becky Gomez, AKA Becky G, first made a name for herself in 2011 after posting covers of popular songs and came to the attention of producer Dr. Luke, who signed her to a joint recording deal with Kemosabe Records and RCA.
She dropped her debut single “Becky from the Block” and followed it up with her first EP Play It Again in 2014. Since then, she’s collaborated with artists like J Balvin, Pitbull, CNCO, and Akon, and toured with the likes of Katy Perry.
Earlier this week, she announced that her debut studio album Mala Santa would hit the shelves on Oct. 17th.
Set for November 3rd, the 2019 MTV EMA airs live globally from the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Spain.
