LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Management and production company Bohemia Group has launched a music media division to represent composers and hired Peter Hackman, a co-producer at soundtrack label Varese Sarabande Records, to lead the new unit.
Hackman also co-owns the label NotefornoteMusic, whose library of soundtracks includes Hans Zimmer’s Rain Man, Bill Conti’s Masters of the Universe and Edwin Wendler’s Dead Ant, and is the founder of the Fans of Film Music Society, an international convention that unites film composers with industry professionals as well as fans.
He will reportedly bring with him composer clients including Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated Christopher Young (The Shipping News, Norma Jean and Marilyn, Pet Sematary, Spider-Man 3), Globe and Grammy-nominated Vince DiCola (Stayin’ Alive, Rocky IV), Holly Amber Church (The Mirror Witch), Randy Miller (The Marvel Experience, The Soong Sisters) and Jeremy Nathan Tisser (Raw Data VR game Battlewake).
Of the new venture, Hackman said in a statement: “I’m excited to take on this new role and fill a need in the marketplace for composers who have distinguished themselves through their exceptional work and have proven themselves to be great collaborators. My life centers around music, soundtracks and composers, and taking on this role was a natural fit. He got the rhythm of our company and understood composers, soundtracks and music so well that I could not bring him on fast enough.”
Bohemia Group was founded in 1992 and currently operates offices in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London and Auckland, New Zealand.
